Learning is a Lifetime Activity

“Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.”

  • Mahatma Gandhi

Taking opportunities to learn fosters growth and transformation. Not taking these opportunities limits your ability for improvement. Within every profession, learning opportunities exist and must be taken advantage of if development and leadership are the goal. When daily learning is combined with a goal oriented mindset, the learner has created an environment where evolution of thought leads to accomplishment and success.

Learning happens multiple ways. A few ways you can add learning into your daily routines are:

  1. Read
  2. Write
  3. Watch videos
  4. Observe successful individuals
  5. Analyze past experiences
  6. Become a mentor or mentee

Seems pretty basic yet most people do not take advantage of opportunities they receive to learn each and every day. Often they are “too busy”.

Why simply “put your time in” at work? Make yourself and the people around you better. Learning and improvement every day within your industry is a phenomenon that can happen. Make it the expectation and watch your leadership opportunities multiply.

Empowering athletes, families, coaches, and organizations to create opportunities for lifetime success,
